HISTORY

The Central Lobão has its roots in a small retail shop of 8m2, with agricultural products and small tools, run by Antonio da Silva, in the parish of Lobão, the county Feira. Due to this death in 1984, his son, Almerindo Silva, decided to take the reins of the business, focusing on diversification of products and wholesale distribution. Gradually expanding their activities as individual entrepreneur in until November 23, 1988, is a private limited company "Central de Ferragens S.Tiago de Lobão, Lda"company in its first year of business turnover 28,536,000 shields.
In 1992, the company starts on the importation of products you simply just 2 years to be imported from Eastern countries, anticipating the current market trends. Over one year was enough to start the company with its exports to markets with huge potential as is the case of Angola, Mozambique, Cape Verde and Guinea. The strong dynamics of the company led her to achieve a turnover of more than half a million stories in 1997, the pace of growth that continues to persist simply 3 more years to double its turnover to a million tales. On December 27, 1999, embodies the transformation of the company into a limited company and change of name to "Central Lobão – Ferramentas Eléctricas, S.A." with a capital of 500.000 €.
The huge success in commercial terms, in 2007 requires that we redefine the company and the search for new and larger facilities adapted to the modern practices of storage and distribution, what would happen in 2009, occupying an area of ​​20.000 m2. 

Currently, the Central Lobão is one of the largest Portuguese companies in its sector, with a customer base that covers not only the national market, but also Spain, France, Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea, Mozambique, Venezuela, Morocco, Cyprus, Malta, Qatar, etc.

1992, July - Beginning of the company's internationalization via imports.

- Transformation into a Public Limited Company

2000, January - Change to the premises in Industrial Area of ​​Vila Maior. 
2005, January – Beginning of the renewal of the image Aslo, Vito and iTools, brands of the company, a strategic investment company to promote the sale of these brands.
2006, July – Supporting formal SIME International awarded the company, based on a draft of Internationalization presented for the increased penetration of Central Lobão sales in export markets - Palop’s and Spain. 
2007, February – Participation in the company Ferroforma, one of the most important fairs in the area of ​​Spanish tools. This project was supported by Sime International integrated into the internationalization project for dissemination of company and brands. 
2009, August - Changing facilities for the new logistics platform, with a covered area of ​​20,000 m2 and a total area of 80,000 m2 and equipped with latest technology in terms of equipment and processes. 
2010, June – Central Lobão - Spain. Entry into Spain with direct sales structure and dedicated.
2011, January – CL Herramientas - Venezuela. Entry in Venezuela with direct sales structure and dedicated. 
2011, March - Participation in the fair Ferroforma, Spain. 
2011, October  - Participation at the fair by Projekta builds Angola
2012, March – Participation in the biggest World Tools Fair in Köln - Germany
2012, June- Launch of the new image and positioning of the Central Lobão.
2013, March - Participation at the fair Ferroforma, Spain.
2013, May - Multibrico - Angola. Entry into Angola with direct and dedicated commercial structure.
2013, November - Participation in most of the Maghreb construction fair - SIB - Casablanca
2014, March - Participation in the largest Tools fair in Köln - Germany
